This piece is an amazing museum-quality, cast resin reproduction, molded from a fine specimen of a Fossilized Ground Sloth Skull, from the Pleistocene Epoch. This large Prehistoric Sloth (Megalonyx jeffersonii) would have stood approx. 10 feet tall, and lived about one million year ago, in Central Florida.
It is a rich dark brown color and measures approximately 26" high x 16" wide x 14" deep.
This amazing 6-Tooth Section of Fossilized Mosasaurus Jaw is in-situ and has been repaired. The actual fossilized jaw section measures approximately 13" long, plus the piece of sandstone, which is 17" x 8". The complete jaw would have measured approximately 3 feet long.
"Mosasaurus (pronounced MOES-ah-SAWR-us) was a giant, meat-eating marine reptile (a mosasaur, not a dinosaur) that lived during the late Cretaceous period. It was 40 to 59 ft long. Mosasaurus had four paddle-like limbs on a long, streamlined body and a long, powerful tail. The large head had huge jaws (up to 4.7 ft long) with many teeth. The jaws could open about 3 feet. The lower jaw is loosely hinged to the skull with a moveable joint on each side (behind the teeth). This loose joint let it swallow huge prey, like some snakes. They hunted fish, turtles, mollusks, and shellfish.
This 2-Piece Palaeozoic Fossilized Trilobite Set is a fine specimen. Each piece measures approximately 6" wide.
"Trilobites appeared some 600 million years ago during the Cambrian period, long before the fish inhabited the seas and the Dinosaurs roamed the land. They belonged the phylum Arthropodal (joint-footed), a phylum which to this day represents the most successful (78%) of all animal life forms, including crabs, centipedes, spiders, shrimps and insects. The Trilobites, living in shallow seas, flourished as swimmers, crawlers and burrowers for some 350 million years. They evolved rapidly into many beautiful, bizarre and, even by today's standards, futuristic forms.
This beautifully handcarved piece of agate is fashioned to look like a fossilized dinosaur's egg, with the dino embryo exposed. It measures approximately 6" wide.
This Fossilized Ordon Skull is in-situ, and has been prepared. ( Included is the section from one side of the lower jaw, shown laying beside the piece.) It was unearthed in the Badlands of South Dakota. It measures approximately 8.5" wide x 5" deep x 6.5" high.

This nice example of a Fossilized Orthocera Mortuary Plate contains at least 18 Orthoceras visible on the surface. The Plate measures approximately 30" high x 16" wide.
Orthoceras, meaning "straight horn", were members of the cephalopod class. These primitive sea creatures are similar to the modern chambered nautilus found today, but unlike the nautilus, the orthoceras grew a straight shell, rather than a coiled one. Now extinct, the orthoceras is an ancestor of the squid and the octopus. Like the present-day squid, they swam freely using a jet propulsion system, by squirting water from their bodies. They had tentacles and ink sacs, also much like today's squids.
Orthoceras lived from 345 to 395 million years ago, during the Devonian Age, and, were among the most advanced of the Devonian invertebrates, having eyes, jaws and a relatively sophisticated nervous system. As they died, their shells accumulated in great numbers on the sea floor where they were aligned by currents, buried by sediments, and transformed over the ages into stone by complex physical and chemical processes.

This large Fossilized Prehistoric Charcharodon Megalodon Shark's Tooth specimen was found in the costal region of West-Central Florida. It measures approximately 7" long x 3.5" wide. It would be priced higher, had it not been repaired, but it's still an impressive piece and a good value.
